Sir Andrew Cahn
Career mostly in public service, focusing on commercial and economic issues in the Cabinet Office, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Ministry of Agriculture, and working in the European institutions. Helped to create the 1992 Single Market programme. 1997, Chef de Cabinet to Rt. Hon. Neil Kinnock, Vice-President of the Commission. 2000, left public service to join British Airways. 2006, returned to government as CEO, UK Trade & Investment. Served on the boards of the Foreign Office and the Dept of Business. 2011, left government service and became Vice-Chairman and Board Member of Nomura International and European affiliates; Board Member, Lloyd's of London.
