Currently, Chief Executive Officer, Amazonas Sustainable Foundation. Former Founder and President, IMAFLORA, the first forest certifier in Latin America. Former President: Brazilian Society of Ethnobiology and Ethnoecology; Forestry Engineers Association, São Paulo; Forum of the Amazon and State Environment Secretaries. Author of over 12 books and 310 papers and articles.
