AngloGold Ashanti

A gold mining company, headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa, with 21 operations spanning 10 countries on four continents. In 2009, approximately 40% of its production came from South Africa, production from Namibia, Ghana, Tanzania, Guinea and Mali made up a further 33%, Brazil and Argentina was 13%, the US was 5% and Australia was 9%. It has recorded five major finds since 2003, including in Colombia, Brazil, Australia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It employs over 60,000 people.
