Private Investors (Private Equity, Hedge Fund and Venture Capital)
Investors Industry Partners are select member companies that are actively involved in the World Economic Forum's mission.
Our partners are top companies from Venture Capital, Private Equity and Hedge Funds, as well as Institutional Investors, Sovereign Funds and Family Offices.
Industry Partnership offers privileged access to the Forum's networks across business, government, academia, and non-governmental organizations. This provides companies with a key role in shaping the Forum's agenda on the most important industry and cross-industry related issues, as well as the opportunity to engage in corporate global citizenship.
As a self-directed community, Industry Partners broaden their involvement beyond the CEO to its senior leadership team in an ongoing process throughout the year. Industry Partners' involvement includes contributing to an evolving portfolio of task forces (ongoing working groups focused on particular areas of interest) and actively participating in several modules (specific meetings of designated senior executives, such as chief strategy officers). This collaborative research and information-sharing process can yield tremendous insights on selected topics and impact on global decision-making. By working as a community, participating organizations can also save considerable costs, relative to undertaking comparable work on an individual basis.

New Models in Entrepreneurship
The project will continue to leverage the Forum's unique intellectual capital that identifies key accelerators and inhibitors for successfully growing early-stage entrepreneurial companies. The project aims to explore new models for entrepreneurship in three major strategic areas: ecosystems that foster successful and sustainable entrepreneurial activity; acceleration of entrepreneurial expansion across markets; and job creation by entrepreneurs in a new economic paradigm.

Long-term Investing: Removing Obstacles between Supply and Demand
The project will explore in more detail the recommendations for policy-makers and long-term investors from phase one of the Future of Long-term Investing. The project looks at better matching supply and demand for long-term investing through removing obstacles in two dimensions: measurement and governance; and policy drivers and the appropriate role of long-term investors.

The Political and Economic Implications of Resource Scarcity
The aim of the project is to identify the political and economic implications of natural resource scarcity and to make policy recommendations for addressing key risks stemming from them. The scope will include energy, metals, minerals, water, food and agricultural land.
Mainstreaming Sustainable and Impact Investing
Investors are increasingly taking into account environmental, social and governance criteria when making investment decisions. The project aims to accelerate the transition for sustainable and impact investing to become mainstream by: boosting the demand side by working with existing initiatives and connecting sustainable/impact investors with mainstream investors; strengthening the supply side through initiatives to encourage investors to actively influence their portfolio companies; and removing fragmentation in the space by bringing together representatives from various groups.
