HTC-VIA Group primarily comprises HTC and VIA Technologies. HTC is a multi-billion dollar global company, founded in 1997, which develops PDAs and smartphones. It has been first to market with new technologies, such as touch interface on devices for Microsoft Windows Mobile and Android OS. It is the name behind many popular and powerful handsets on the market. VIA is a fabless supplier of x86 processor platforms for the PC and embedded markets. Its customer base includes the world's major OEMs and system integrators. Both companies are headquartered in Taipei and listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
