Showa Shell Sekiyu has more than 100 years of history in the oil business in Japan. It is a publicly listed company; the Royal Dutch Shell group owns 35% and Saudi Aramco owns 15%. It is the third largest oil company in Japan, with a refining capacity of more than 395,000 barrels per day. It has an energy solutions business composed of solar and power, operating 3 solar factories in Japan and an LNG GTCC and thermal power plant through affiliates.
