A company which provides businesses and consumers with an extensive range of services for their mail and express needs in over 200 countries and which employs about 155,000 people. In 2009, it reported 10.4 billion euros in revenues and an operating income of 648 million euros. It is headquartered in the Netherlands and is quoted on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange. It has formed partnerships with the UN World Food Programme and the UN Environment Programme to fight hunger and pollution in the world. In 2010, it was awarded super sector leader in the Industrial Goods and Services sector of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes for the fourth time in a row.
