Media Accreditation Opens for the World Economic Forum on Africa

  • The 23rd World Economic Forum on Africa will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, on 8-10 May 2013.
  • Media accreditation opens today; to apply, please register at www.weforummedia.org.
  • Under the theme, “Delivering on Africa’s Promise”, over 900 participants are expected to take part.

Geneva, Switzerland, 26 February 2013 – Media accreditation opens today for the 23rd World Economic Forum on Africa. With the support of the Government of South Africa, the meeting will be held in Cape Town from 8 to 10 May 2013. Under the theme “Delivering on Africa’s Promise”, the meeting will provide an unrivalled platform for key decision-makers from industry, government, academia, the media, civil society and young leaders to understand and shape Africa’s future.

The programme will focus on deepening the continent’s integration and renewing commitments to a sustainable path of growth and development by addressing the following core themes:

  • Accelerating Economic Diversification
  • Boosting Strategic Infrastructure
  • Unlocking Africa’s Talent
