Geneva, Switzerland, 12 October 2012 – The World Economic Forum has opened media accreditation for the Summit on the Global Agenda, which will take place from 12 to 14 November 2012 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Summit on the Global Agenda will bring together 900 Council Members from over 80 distinct Global Agenda Councils. With each Council comprised of experts from academia, business, civil society, the Summit’s unique format of in-Council as well as cross-Council collaboration will enable generation of thought leadership on literally hundreds of the world’s most pressing challenges and opportunities.
This year, the Summit will focus particularly on new strategies for sustainable growth through improvements in inclusiveness, innovation and governance in a networked, hyperconnected age. Outcomes of the Summit will be integrated into the programme the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2013 in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, for further discussion and action.
The co-chairs of the meeting are Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates, and Sami Dhaen Al Qamzi, Director-General, Department of Economic Development of the Government of Dubai
Media accreditation for the event is now open. If you would like to cover this event, please submit your accreditation request online at www.weforummedia.org. The deadline for media accreditation is Thursday 25 October 2012. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted, and no accreditation will be considered on site. All requests will be subject to confirmation by the World Economic Forum.
