Standard Bank Group is the largest African bank by assets and earnings, with total assets of R1,694 billion ($162 billion); headline earnings of R17,194 million ($1.8 billion), a market capitalization of R209.4 billion ($20 billion) and a Tier 1 capital adequacy ratio of 13.2% at 31 December 2013.
