George Mason University
Ángel Cabrera is President of George Mason University. Located in northern Virginia near Washington DC, the university serves 33,000 students from 136 countries and is often cited as a leading example of a modern, comprehensive, public research university. Previously, he was President of the Thunderbird School of Global Management, the world's leader in international management, and Dean of the IE Business School in Madrid, one of the best business schools in Europe. An outspoken advocate for ethics and social responsibility in business schools, Cabrera chaired the task force that authored the UN Principles of Responsible Management Education and co-founded The Oath Project together with other leading academics and YGLs. He is the author of Being Global: How to Think, Act, and Lead in a Transformed World, and numerous academic papers. Cabrera serves on the boards of PetSmart and the Bankinter Foundation for Innovation. He earned a BSc and MSc in Telecom Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and an MSc and PhD in Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which he attended as a Fulbright Scholar.
