Aaron Pereira is currently working on projects that focus on how people live together. One is a development project in the slums of Mumbai and another is in a community space in Paris that mixes music and art. Prior, Pereira worked on the Guggenheim urban lab in Mumbai and as a social entrepreneur. He also is a Co-Founder of CanadaHelps and Vartana. CanadaHelps is a charity that engages Canadians to support causes in their community and around the world. The organization raises C$ 80 million a year for social sector organizations across Canada, engaging hundreds of thousands of people. Vartana was an attempt to create a new financial institution for the social sector, but ultimately did not achieve its goal. Pereira completed a degree in Economics from Queen's University and studied at Oxford University.
