Adrian Cheok is a Professor of Pervasive Computing at City University London. Prior, he was a professor at the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design, Director of the Mixed Reality Lab Singapore and Engineer at the Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs in Japan. Cheok has done research in mixed reality, human-computer interfaces, wearable computers, ubiquitous computing, fuzzy systems, embedded systems and power electronics. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Hitachi Fellowship, A-STAR Young Scientist of the Year, SCS Singapore Young Professional of the Year, Fellow in Education at the World Technology Network, Microsoft Research Award for Gaming and Graphics, First Prize Nokia Mindtrek Award, First Prize in the Milan International InventiON competition, winner of the Gijyuju-sho award and best research of the year at Keio University, and SIP Distinguished Fellow. Cheok received a BA (with First Class Honours) in Engineering from the University of Adelaide and a PhD in Engineering.
