Ailish Campbell is Vice-President, International and Fiscal Issues, for the Canadian Council of Chief Executives (CCCE). She leads policy development on trade, investment, taxation and economic issues for the CEOs of Canada’s leading enterprises and is responsible for the vast majority of Canada’s exports, investment, research and development and training. The CCCE aims to keep Canada among the world’s most advanced societies and economies. Prior to joining the CCCE, she held senior positions in the federal government of Canada, where she served in executive positions leading trade and investment policy. Campbell serves on the boards of the Banff Forum, Canada 2020 and the International Advisory Committee for the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary. She holds a Doctorate from the University of Oxford, where she taught as a Lecturer. Her DPhil thesis on European labour market and social policy integration was published by Palgrave MacMillan in 2002.
