Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Alec Oxenford co-founded OLX.com in 2006 with business partner Fabrice Grinda in the hopes of building the largest free local classified site in the world. As Co-Chief Executive Officer, he leads the company's Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo offices where the technology and customer service teams are based. OLX.com current has 200+ employees and is present in 90 countries and 40 languages with over 150 million unique visitors per month. Prior to OLX, Oxenford co-founded DeRemate.com in 1999. In his role as Chief Executive Officer he built the company into one of the two largest online trading platforms in Latin America; DeRemate was sold to an eBay affiliate in 2005. In 2003, he co-founded DineroMail.com. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Oxenford worked as a business consultant for The Boston Consulting Group in Europe and Latin America. He is a Member of the Board of ArteBA and received the CNN Internet Leader Award in 2001 and the Entrepreneur Award in 2003. Oxenford has an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.
