Alejandro Ferrer is a Partner with Aleman, Cordero, Galindo & Lee. Previously, he served as Panama's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Permanent Representative to the GATT, Ambassador to the World Trade Organization and Deputy Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva. He also served as Counsellor for International Trade in Panama's Embassy in Washington DC. Ferrer is the Honorary Business Representative (Panama) for International Enterprise Singapore and President of the Board of Amador Foundation. He has been awarded a number of distinctions, including the USMA 2005 Complete Lawyer Prize, Integrity Prize under the Governmental Ethic Category and Inter-American Medal for enhancing the development and growth of Panama. He was also voted one of Central America's Top 40 Lawyers under 40 and recognized by L?deres Empresariales as one of the most important business leaders in Panama. Ferrer holds a degree in Law and Political Sciences (summa cum laude) from USMA, and a LLM and SJD from the University of Michigan Law School.
