Alex Wyatt is the founder of August Robotics, a recent start-up focused on integrating people-friendly robotics into day-to-day life. He is a member of the Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, and is also a member of the UAE’s international advisory group on Robotics and AI. He is a Director of two solar energy companies: Raygen, which develops high-tech concentrated photo-voltaic systems, and Iwana Energy, which deploys solar solutions in Latin America. Previously, Wyatt was CEO and co-founder of Climate Bridge, a low-carbon project developer which deployed clean energy projects throughout China, spanning a broad range of technologies including solar, wind, biomass, hydro and waste heat recovery. By 2013, when Climate Bridge was sold to a Chinese consortium, the Company’s portfolio of projects contained more than 2.5GW of clean energy infrastructure with a total asset value of more than $2.5 billion. Wyatt was named in the “Advance Asia 50” as one of the 50 most influential Australians living in Asia. He earned a BSc and an LLB from Melbourne University and an MPhil and an MBA from the University of Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
