Amit Burman is Vice-Chairman of Dabur India, India's leading consumer goods maker and the world's largest Ayurvedic and natural products company. Burman is responsible for Dabur, India's foray into the processed foods business with the setting up of Dabur Foods. It is to his credit that Dabur Real and Hommade are household names. Burman started his career at Dabur's Industrial Engineering Department where he was responsible for the induction of machinery, method improvements, manpower reduction and improving product packaging. He has also worked in the Manufacturing Strategy Department of Colgate Palmolive in New York. Burman holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University, an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Columbia and an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
