Social Work Volunteer
Andrea Sanke is a freelance journalist and presenter with extensive experience working for international news networks, including France 24, CNN International and Deutsche Welle TV. Sanke was formerly Senior Presenter for France's first 24-hour international news provider and an integral part of launching France 24's English channel live from Paris in 2006. She also hosted the network's prime-time programmes, The Debate and The Interview. Previously, Sanke spent two years at CNN International in London as an anchor and correspondent for the news and business programmes. Earlier, Sanke was based in Berlin with Deutsche Welle. Previous experience includes social issues reporting for the Colombian network, Caracol, while based in Bogotá. She also worked as a volunteer social worker for Task Brasil, caring for abandoned and socially disadvantaged children in Rio de Janeiro. Sanke holds a Bachelor's in Journalism and a BA in Spanish from the University of Missouri at Columbia. She also studied Liberal Arts at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador, and at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, Colombia.
