Andrew Ross Sorkin is the award-winning Chief Mergers and Acquisitions Reporter and Columnist for The New York Times. He is also the paper's Assistant Editor, Business and Finance. In addition, Sorkin is the Founding Editor of DealBook, an online daily financial report that is read by the world's most influential executives and investors. He began writing for The New York Times in 1995, before completing high school. Over the years, he has broken news of major mergers and acquisitions and has become a leading voice on global finance. He is a frequent guest on CNBC and other television and radio programmes as well as a lecturer at universities. He was named one of the top 100 financial journalists in the US by TJFR. Sorkin is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a John C. Whitehead Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association. Sorkin graduated from Cornell University with a BSc in 1999.
