Senior Vice-President, Sustainable Development
Andy Wales is the Senior Vice-President for Sustainable Development at SABMiller, responsible for sustainability strategy, external affairs and stakeholder engagement. Prior to joining SABMiller, he held corporate responsibility and strategy director roles at environmental services group Severn Trent and textiles firm Interface. Wales is a leading commentator on water scarcity, agriculture and entrepreneurship. He is the author of Big Business, Big Responsibilities, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and of the Forum for the Future. In 2010, he was appointed a London Sustainable Development Commissioner. Wales has a BA in English and International Development from Sussex University, a Master's degree in Sustainable Development Strategy from Middlesex University and an MBA from the Warwick Business School.
