Andy Freire, a business and social entrepreneur, is Chairman of the Endeavor Foundation, which promotes entrepreneurship in emerging markets. Prior to this, he founded Officenet, which revolutionized retail distribution of office supplies in Latin America; the company was sold to Staples in 2004. Freire was the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Axialent, a global consulting firm with operations in over 20 countries. When he was 18, he created Fundacion Iniciaitiva, a foundation oriented towards the promotion of leadership among Latin American youth. In 2001, he was recognized by the Endeavor Foundation as Latin American Entrepreneur of the Year. Freire has a degree in Economics from the University of San Andr?s in Argentina, and has completed the Owner/President Management Programme at Harvard Business School.
