Expert, Sharing Economy, Shareable Cities
April Rinne is a sharing economy expert, advising companies, local and national governments, entrepreneurs, think tanks, investors and development banks, using for-profit and non-profit models. She currently leads the World Economic Forum/Young Global Leaders Sharing Economy Working Group and serves on the urbanization advisory group. Previously, Rinne was Chief Strategy Officer at Collaborative Lab, Global Director of WaterCredit at Water.org, and a private lawyer focusing on international microfinance and impact investing. She advises numerous social enterprises, ranging from BOP marketplace creation to alternative currencies, in developed and developing countries. Rinne serves on the Sharing Economy Advisory Boards for Seoul, South Korea, and the National League of Cities. She is also a Director of the World Wide Web Foundation and a Member of REX. Rinne holds a JD from Harvard Law School, an MA from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a BA from Emory University.
