Binta Niambi Brown is currently on sabbatical as a Partner at the global law firm of Kirkland & Ellis. She has represented corporate clients on merger and acquisition transactions, public and private debt and equity offerings, and secured debt financings, and advised general counsel and senior management officials of Fortune 1000 companies on corporate governance matters. Brown has acted as an informal national security adviser to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, focusing on human rights and international institutions. She also served on the Transportation Policy Advisory Committee transition teams of NY Governor Andrew Cuomo and former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer. Fortune magazine listed Brown on its 40 under 40 list of Business's Hottest Rising Stars, while the National Organization for Women recognized her as a ?Woman of Power and Influence?. Brown is a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School's Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government, a Truman National Security Fellow, a Member of the Harvard Women's Leadership Board and Council on Foreign Relations, and a Trustee of Barnard College and Columbia University.
