Former: positions with the External Relations Department, Inter-American Development Bank, Washington DC; National Director of Health Promotion, Ministry of Health, Government of Panama. 2004-08, Communications and Programme Officer, Panama country offices, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF); part of a United Nations team of facilitators that conducted two dialogue efforts that resulted in the reform of the social security system and the design of a national development plan. Currently, Executive Director, Unidos por la Educación; policy consultant. Founder, Voluntarios de Panamá, a non-profit that works towards engaging citizens in volunteer opportunities. Author of academic papers on education reform, gender and education, consensus building and institutional strengthening.
