Chris Deri is Chief Executive Officer of Burson-Marsteller, People's Republic of China. He oversees all operations in the China offices and provides clients with senior level strategy and counsel. Chris has worked with foreign companies operating in China, including Starbucks, General Electric, Johnson & Johnson and Samsung, as well as Chinese multinationals operating globally, such as Huawei. His client counsel has been in: reputation management, public affairs, litigation communications, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. From December 2000 to November 2010, Deri served as Executive Vice-President at Edelman where he helped to incubate and then lead the Global CSR & Sustainability Practice, which grew to a US$ 25 million practice in 15 offices. Prior to joining Edelman, he served as Regional Director of Business Outreach and Finance for Al Gore's 2000 Presidential campaign and political action committee.
