Cina Lawson is Minister of Post and Telecommunications of Togo, building on 12 years of experience as an emerging markets expert in the areas of telecommunications. Previously, as Manager of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at the France Telecom/Orange Group in New York City, she was in charge of identifying business opportunities by monitoring markets and innovative technologies. Prior to that, she worked at Alcatel-Lucent in Paris, providing insight into the communication tools linked to supply chain reforms that were being implemented at the corporate level. Lawson began her career at the World Bank in Washington DC where she worked on telecom restructuring projects in developing countries with a focus on regulatory reforms and privatization issues. While at the World Bank, she also gained experience in microfinance issues. Lawson is a graduate of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).
