Deepender Singh Hooda was just 27 years old when he was first elected as a Member of India's Parliament in 2005, representing the Rohtak constituency of Haryana. His commitment to education and his focus on the creation of economic opportunities, infrastructure and rural development earned him again a victory in 2009. Singh Hooda serves as Vice-Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, and is a Member of the Council of IITs, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture and Consultative Committee on External Affairs. He is also the Vice-President of the All India Tennis Association and President of Haryana's football and wrestling associations. Singh Hooda has an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
