European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
In March 2011, Denis Morozov was appointed by then Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin to represent the Russian Federation at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London where he is Board Member and Executive Director. Prior, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Uralkali, Russia's largest potash producer. In 1999, Morozov joined Norilsk Nickel, Russia's largest metals and mining company, holding several executive positions and responsible for large restructuring projects before becoming President and Chief Executive Officer. From 1992 to 1999, he worked for Ingosstrakh, Alfa-Bank and the International Financial Company. Morozov has received numerous awards, including the Order of Friendship awarded by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. He has a BA in Economics and a JD from Moscow State University, an MA in Public Administration from Columbia University and a PhD in Economics from the Moscow State Institute for International Relations. He also completed an Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School.
