Chief Executive Officer, Customer Services Division
After working for Renault in Paris, Dirk Hoke joined Siemens in 1996, holding different management positions at the company's headquarters and regionally. From 2002-2005, Hoke was the General Manager for the Transrapid Propulsion and Power Supply business, successfully putting the Maglev Train in Shanghai into operation. From 2005-2008, during his time as President of the Transportation Systems Group in China, Siemens became the leading foreign railways supplier. In 2009, he became the first chief executive officer of Siemens Africa, where he developed and implemented the company's first continental growth strategy and business development programme. Since 2011, Hoke - as the youngest Division CEO within Siemens - has been responsible for the Customer Services Division, supporting industrial customers to stay competitive and successful in view of rising cost pressures, growing energy costs and increasingly stringent environmental regulations. Hoke has lived in Germany, Argentina, Austria, the US, China and Morocco, and speaks German, English, French and Spanish fluently.
