Elias Pungong is Senior Partner and Africa Oil and Gas Leader for Ernst & Young. Prior, he worked at PwC in Brussels. In 2001, he was admitted as an Associate Partner in Francophone Africa and in 2003 became the youngest ever member of the Territory Leadership Team. He has held a number of positions, including Assurance & Advisory Managing Partner and Leader for all 19 countries of Francophone Africa, and Oil & Gas Leader for Africa for PwC. With a strong interest in development and social causes, he founded the Pungong Foundation, which promotes microfinance and entrepreneurship. Pungong holds an MA in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
