Erwann Michel-Kerjan teaches at the Wharton Business School and is Managing Director of the Wharton Risk Center (a unique group with 25 years of experience in developing business and policy responses specific to extreme events). He has co-authored over 50 publications and published several books such as Treatise on New Risks, Seeds of Disaster, Roots of Response and At War with the Weather. Michel-Kerjan studied and researched at Columbia, Harvard, McGill and Polytechnique, Paris. Michel-Kerjan has helped large corporations, governments and international organizations (EU, UN, WB, World Economic Forum) address new risk landscapes, develop appropriate solutions and create market opportunities. In 2008, he was elected Chairman of the OECD Secretary-General's High Level Advisory Board on Financial Management of Catastrophes. Michel-Kerjan has a PhD in Mathematics and Economics.
