Eugenio Burzaco is Founder of Fundación Fundar Justicia y Seguridad. He has recently been elected National Deputy for the Province of Buenos Aires, but then appointed as Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department. Burzaco also leads operations on justice and crime for the Fundación Creer y Crecer’s City of Buenos Aires project. In addition, he serves as a Consultant to the Ministry of Security of the provincial government of Neuquen (Argentina) and is the Vice-Chairman of the political party Compromiso para el Cambio in the province of Buenos Aires. He co-authored the book A Fair Hand: Reflection on Public Insecurity and a Proposal to Solve the Crisis (Anthony Fisher award, 2004) and is a frequent contributor to different newspapers and magazines including La Nación. Previously, he served as Executive Director of the Fundación Grupo Sophia and worked in the House of Representatives of the US Congress as an Adviser to Congressman Jim Kolbe. Burzaco holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Economics from Georgetown University and a BA in Political Science from the University of El Salvador
