Fenando Zavala is an Economist and holds an International MBA. He is currently the President of SABMiller Panama, the largest beer producing company in Panama, position he took after being Vice-President of Strategy at SABMiller Peru. Prior to joining SABMiller he worked in the Peruvian public sector for 12 years, having held the positions of General Manager of the Competition Agency (INDECOPI), Vice-Minister of Economy and Minister of Economy and Finance. He contributes to various economic and financial publications and is a lecturer and professor on economy, public policy, and business. As a member of the board of two leading Peruvian think tanks: Peru 2021 and the Peruvian Economic Institute, he participates in the establishment of initiatives to set major trends for Peru towards the 21st century. Presently he is an honorary member of the consulting counsels for the Minister of Labor and the Peruvian Supreme Court. Zavala has been the Peruvian Governor to the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. Along with his International MBA, from Birmingham University, United Kingdom, he holds a Bachelor's of Science in Economics from the Universidad del Pacifico and a Master's in Enterprise Management from the Universidad de Piura.
