Francesca Colombo is General Director of the Florence Opera House - Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Italy. She is also General Director and Artistic Coordinator of MITO SettembreMusica, an international music festival held in Milan and Turin with more than 270 musical performances by more than 4,000 artists, and is Cultural Director for Expo 2015 in Milan. Previously, she worked at Teatro Scala for 13 years, including as Head of Co-Production and Digital Asset Management. Colombo has conceived various artistic initiatives, including the integration of design, architecture, music and language at the Triennale of Milan, a children's music programme and Coordinator of the Micheli International Piano Competition with Pollini Berio. Colombo has a degree in Management Engineering at Politecnico Milano and a degree in Piano from Conservatorio Musica Verdi Milan. She has been an Erasmus Scholar at the TU Munic and a Member of Aspen Junior Fellows.
