Georgie Benardete is Managing Director at Multicultural Capital, an independent financial consulting company. She is currently serving as a financial adviser to owners of a large-scale renewable energy project in Latin America and is an active investor in women-supporting Belle Capital and ShopMyLabel.com, a leader in online peer-to-peer sales. Prior to Multicultural Capital, she worked at OPIC, Coopers & Lybrand and JP Morgan. She also founded Yesilist.com, Turkey's largest green portal. Benardete is a committed environmentalist. She is involved in Al Gore's Climate Project as a speaker and continues to advise international companies on their sustainability practices. Benardete is founding member of the Charly Alberti R21 Foundation, which focuses on sustainable development in Latin America. She is a Woodrow Wilson Foundation Fellow and Lead Fellow. Benardete graduated with honours from Georgetown University with a Master's of Science in Foreign Service. She is also a Founding Curator of the World Economic Forum's Global Shapers hub in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
