Jackie Y. Ying

Jackie Y. Ying is the Executive Director of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology (IBN), which was established in 2003 to spearhead the advancement of biomedical sciences in Singapore. A leader in nanotechnology and its use in biomedical, chemical and materials sciences, she was a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from1992 to 2005. She is a recipient of numerous awards, including an inaugural TR100 Innovator Award and is the youngest Member of the German National Academy of Sciences (Leopoldina). She has served on the editorial boards of 24 scientific journals and on the scientific advisory board of four international institutes and eight companies. Ying is the Editor-in-Chief of Nano Today. She received her PhD from Princeton University.
