Right To Play International
A four-time Olympic gold medallist in speed skating for Norway, Johann Koss is President and Chief Executive Officer of Right To Play International, an organization committed to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and their communities through the power of sport and play. In 1997, Koss joined the Board of MOT (Courage), an organization that mobilizes Norwegian athletes in the fight against drugs and doping. He was a Member of the Athlete's Commission of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) from 1998 to 2002, and was on the Medical Commission and the Executive Board of the IOC Reform Commission. He also served as a Founding Board Member of the World Anti-Doping Agency and spent 15 years as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Koss attended the University of Queensland Medical School and received his MBA from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. He has been awarded honorary doctorates from Carleton University, University of Calgary and the Free University of Brussels. He also sits on the Board of Tompkins Industry and Automotive (Gates) and General Nutrition Company (GNC).
