Jyotiraditya Scindia is one of the youngest Members in the Parliament of India. Elected to the Lok Sabha in February 2002, he was initiated into his new career with an almost unprecedented lead of more than 450,000 votes. When his father Madhavrao Scindia died in an air crash in September 2001 and the Parliamentary seat from Guna fell vacant, Jyotiraditya was a natural choice for the seat. He knew the constituency well, having managed his father’s election campaigns and also having traveled with him extensively. Previously, Jyotiraditya worked as an investment banker for Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. He also gained development experience with the UN Economic Development Cell. He studied Managerial Skills at Harvard and Stanford.
