Kaliya Hamlin is Executive Director of Unconference.net, which designs and facilitates participatory events for networked communities solving complex problems. She founded a firm with a very experienced team and among them they have facilitated over 300 ?unconferences? throughout their careers. In 2010, Hamlin founded the Personal Data Ecosystem Consortium, with over 30 start-ups as members. She is the publisher of the organization's monthly analyst report of the industry. Known as the Identity Woman, Hamlin is also an expert and leader in the field of user-centric digital identity and personal data. She is engaged with communities making real technology and policy to address the complex challenge of how people can manage and control their own identities and personal data online. Hamlin has been active with the World Economic Forum's Rethinking Personal data project for three years. She has a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a focus on Political, Economic and Human Rights, from the University of California, Berkeley.
