Kate Hampton is Executive Director for Climate Change at the Children's Investment Fund Foundation, managing a global portfolio of technical assistance and advocacy programmes. Formerly, she was Head of Policy at Climate Change Capital, advising asset managers and multinational energy companies. She has also advised policy-makers in a number of roles, including as Senior Policy Advisor for the United Kingdom's G8 and EU presidencies in 2005 and as a Sherpa to the EU High-Level Group on Competitiveness, Energy and Environment in 2007. Hampton was also Head of the Climate Change Campaign for Friends of the Earth International and Convenor of the Green Globe Network, an advisory group to the UK Foreign Office. She holds a number of board and advisory positions, including for the Influence Film and the Carbon Trust. She holds a BSc from the London School of Economics and an MA in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, where she was a Fulbright Scholar.
