Koh Lian Pin is Associate Professor and Chair of Applied Ecology and Conservation in the Environment Institute at University of Adelaide in Australia. His research focuses on addressing emerging environmental and socioeconomic challenges facing tropical developing nations, including intensifying land-use conflicts, carbon emissions from land-use change and forestry, and threats to natural ecosystems and wildlife. Koh is also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of ConservationDrones.org, a non-profit that seeks to build local and regional capacity for the use of low-cost unmanned aerial vehicles for environmental research and applications in tropical developing countries. He received his PhD in 2008 from Princeton University.
