Liz Lloyd is Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania Limited. Prior, she held the position of Group Head of Public Affairs for Standard Chartered Bank, responsible for coordinating the bank's policies and positioning on all political and regulatory matters. Before joining Standard Chartered in 2007, she was Special Adviser to Tony Blair, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (1997-2007) on a number of issues, including home affairs, Africa and climate change; from 2005-2007 she was Deputy Chief of Staff. Lloyd is also Chair of Trustees of the Africa Governance Initiative. She received a CBE in 2008.
