Lorna Solis is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blue Rose Compass, an organization providing young deserving females living in refugee camps with educational scholarships to leading universities globally. After their studies, Blue Rose Compass fellows return home to serve as agents of change to bridge the gender gap. Previously, Solis was Director for Latin America & Africa at Institutional Investor in the Magazine and Conference Divisions. She also worked at IDEA, covering Latin America, and at Water & Air Research, an environmental consulting firm where she helped establish national parks in Brazil and Honduras. Solis is a graduate of the University of Florida, Harvard Kennedy School's Global Leadership & Public Policy Executive Program, Harvard Hauser Center for Non-Profit Organization's Executive Program on Exponential Fundraising and Yale University's Jackson Institute for Global Affairs Foundations for Leadership in the 21st Century Program. She is a Member of the World Economic Forum's Global Agenda Council on Women's Empowerment and Gender parity, a 2012 Echoing Green Semi-Finalist and UNHCR Innovation Council Board Member.
