Luis Arbulu is the Director for Technology Investments at Samsung’s Open Innovation Center, and Founder and Managing Partner of Hattery, an early stage VC and incubator based in San Francisco. He also serves on the boards of several companies and non-profits. Previously, Arbulu held a number of senior roles at Google in finance, product and business development, working on such areas as advertising, payments, search and social. He also led the investments practice at Google.org, managing a large portfolio in energy, emerging web and big data. Arbulu was a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, head of engineering at a start-up. He has also served as Entrepreneur in Residence with the US Department of Homeland Security. Arbulu studied engineering at the University of Kansas and the Universidad Catolica in Peru, and has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
