Luis Alberto Camargo is Founder and Executive Director of Organizacion para la Educacion y Proteccion Ambiental (OpEPA); Adviser to the Vice-Minister of Tourism; Adviser to the Department of National Planning, Ministry of Environment; Researcher, Universidad de los Andes; WWF Wilderness Medicine Instructor, Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS; Wilderness Educator, National Outdoor Leadership School. Camargo is an Ashoka Fellow and a Member of the Wilderness Society and the North American Association of Environmental Education. He received a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and a Master?s in Computer Graphics from Pratt Institute.
