Fight for Peace
Luke Dowdney is Founder and Director of Fight for Peace (FFP), an international non-profit group of organizations which combines boxing and martial arts with education and personal development to realize the potential of young people in communities that suffer from crime and violence. The FFP Group has a staff of 87 and directly serves 2,250 young people per year. Dowdney is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Luta Limited, a sports performance clothing brand with an on-line e-commerce platform and a retail presence in the United Kingdom and globally. Luta has a 50% profit-sharing scheme with Fight for Peace. Dowdney was the 1995 British university light-middleweight boxing champion. He is an Ashoka Fellow, won the “Sport for Good Award” at the Laureus World Sports Awards in Barcelona in 2007 and is an Ambassador for Beyond Sport. He was awarded an MBE honour by Queen Elizabeth II in 2005.
