Martin Bruncko is a Senior Director at the World Economic Forum. Previously, he held several senior positions in the Government of Slovakia, including Plenipotentiary for Knowledge Economy and Deputy for European Affairs to the Minister of Finance. He was responsible for national R&D and technology policy and played a major role in the development and implementation of major structural reforms, including the introduction of the flat tax. He also represented Slovakia in the highest EU and Eurozone bodies in charge of EU-level economic and financial policy coordination and crisis management. Bruncko is also the Founder and former Chairman of Neulogy, the first major advisory and investment boutique in Central and Eastern Europe, which focuses on R&D, technology transfer and technology start-ups. He holds a BA in International Relations and Modern Thought and Literature from Stanford University and an MPA in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School.
