Mina Guli is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Thirst, a YGL initiative that is educating millions of young people about water, and building mass consumer demand for water smart products. Before creating Thirst, Guli spent 15 years working in the area of climate change, where she is a recognized expert on carbon markets and China. Guli is also the Executive Director, Chief Investment Officer and Co-Founder of Peony Capital, a Beijing-based company dedicated to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in China, and she is the Deputy Chairman of AustCham Beijing. Guli is a recipient of a Future Leadership Award from the Australia Davos Connection. In 2009, she was named as a leading Australian in Asia and in 2011 was named as one of Australia's “50 for the future”.
