Chamber of Deputies of Chile
Nicolas Monckeberg, a Congressman of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile, was elected to the National House of Representatives for the District of San Carlos a few years ago. Since 2003, he has been Professor of Negotiation at the Faculty of Economy of the Adolfo Ibañez University. Previously, he served as City Counsellor and Deputy-Mayor of Santiago and as an Associate Lawyer for Carey and Cia. After his studies, he founded the Movimiento Juventud 2000 (Youth Movement 2000) and in 1994, he was nominated Full Member of the Youth for the Latin American Union of Political Parties. That same year, he became Assistant Professor at the Law School at the Pontifica Universidad Catolica de Chile, where he also gained his degree (with Honours) in Law. In 1996, he obtained a diploma in Commercial Negotiation and International Mediation from Harvard Law School. He also holds a Master’s from Harvard University.
